Primary and secondary distribution

We move FMCG freight on a national basis: full truck loads and line haul between manufacturers and distribution centres, then secondary distribution, customer direct deliveries, shuttle services and general deliveries out to stores.

Built around delivery days

Store deliveries run on each depot's Nominated Delivery Days, and our transhipment service consolidates smaller orders so they travel at bulk rates. Your delivery points are aligned to our NDD schedules, so stores know when stock will arrive.

Where in South Africa does Vital deliver?

Nationwide. Our primary sites are in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, we have transhipment centres in Limpopo and Mpumalanga, and delivery points in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape.

Our head office is at 5 Yaldwyn Road, Jet Park, Boksburg. Call 011 966 0500, Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:30.

Are your vehicles tracked?

Yes. Our real-time, web-based satellite tracking monitors speed, harsh braking, door openings, temperature fluctuations and trailer unlocking. Violations are reported in real time and acted on by our 24-hour control room, and onboard cameras are monitored 24/7.

What is Vital's B-BBEE level?

Vital Distribution Solutions is a Level 2 B-BBEE contributor under the Integrated Transport Sector Code (Road Freight), with 125% procurement recognition. The certificate is available on our Documents page.

Since 1999. We celebrated 25 years of distribution in 2024 with a fleet of more than 650 vehicles.
